NEW ORLEANS, LA — Vampyre Cosmetics LLC, a proudly LGBTQ-owned cosmetics brand known for its commitment to inclusivity and social justice, announces its closure. This decision follows a malicious lawsuit that has severely impacted the company’s operations and ability to serve its loyal customer base.

Vampyre Cosmetics made headlines last year when it courageously canceled its collaboration with rock icon Alice Cooper in response to transphobic statements he made in the media. The decision was rooted in the company’s dedication to creating a safe and supportive environment for all individuals, regardless of their gender identity. 

"We are proud that we have stood firm in our values, however, the ensuing legal challenges have placed an overwhelming burden on our resources," said Vampyre Cosmetics LLC’s CEO,  Rachel Clinesmith. For over 5  years, Vampyre Cosmetics LLC  has been committed to being a disruptor in the beauty industry by refusing to sell a standard of beauty instead pushing the idea that makeup is fun and for self expression purposes. The lawsuit against Vampyre Cosmetics LLC  is unfounded and represents an attempt to undermine the brand's commitment to advocacy and social change. The company remains dedicated to defending its reputation and is actively pursuing legal recourse.
